This worked in an old SQL Server 2005 and Windows Server 2003 environment but lost ability when migrated to Windows 2012 and SQL Server 2012. Would like to know what would you suggest in creating this utility? Or how to get it to work in new environment.
This was useful for loading fixed width files with many columns. Thanks!
Form is as follows:
Connect to Database: Drop down box here to select database
Enter Table Name: Text Form Field to enter table to import data into
Choose File Layout: Textbox here to browse to Excel Layout File
Choose Data File: Textbox here to browse to text file to load.
Column Delimiter: Dropdown box to select fixed width, pipe, comma, etc.
Checkbox: First Row has column names
Import Button to click to import data from text file to SQL Server database.

I believe you are referring to
DTS which has been replaced by
SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).

Yes, I am already using SSIS or SSDT 2012 but this utility was created to load fixed width files to a sql server via ASP.Net. Just didn't know if anyone had experience with this.
