when using search and when reading threads posted, and returning back to search results - shouldn't a basic feature of search be to capture the position of the paged results so when you are returning, you can continue to search the results?
In my mind, the primary reason for returning to the search results is probably because you did not find your answer, and need to continue searching.

when in an overview of search results, and not only on this site but everywhere else, I use ctrl + click to open up a new tab. It saves me time as the search page doesn't need to fetch again the search results as it's still open on the orignal tab.
