I am trying to create a webservice in my application (Asp.net). So i have create Master.asmx file. It has inbuild web method HelloWorld()
public string HelloWorld()
return "Hello World";
I have added protocols in my web.config
While invoking Helloworld method It shows an error like
I have given NETWORK SERVICE Rights to my project folder. But still shows an error
How to solve it?

The .asmx is an older version of web services and does not act like the new web api services.
you are treating your web service like a controller, it does not have this capability. Passing a parameter to this type of web service requires that you requires you to do something like this:
A web api service would be something like this:
I cannot say this for sure, but it looks like you are utilizing an previous version of a web service (by the looks how how you are calling the service). A Web Api is generally an entire project.
