I am new to sql server . I have just migrated my access mdb file to sql server 2008 express . The database file shows up in the sql server instance but i cant figure out how to get the mdf file which i need to deploy at the clients.
Please help regards

SQL Server is not the same as Access. It is not a file-based system, so you lose the ability to simply copy files across and hope they work. The steps I take to deploy a SQL Server database to a hosting server are as follows:

Thanks for the reply. How do i upload the .bak file to the hosting server ? Do i have to physically attach this file through ssms in the server ? I know this might sound stupid but please help me out

Backup and restore is a common way to move your database from one server to another. You can find other ways to move your database as well. You can check this out to get a little more information on this topic:
