I am using Server Explorer to create the tables for a MySQL database. This works fine, but I do not seem to be able to declare a column as the primary key. When I created tables for an SQL database, I just right-clicked the pointer for a column to set
it as a primary key. But now, this does nothing. Are there no primary keys in MySQL tables?

I have found server explorer and VS tools for databases rather limited for my needs.
And I no longer use them, instead I use the SQL command line to create tables, indexes, and such.
Also very helpful for managing database objects is TOAD for MySQL, TOAD for Oracle, et al. by Dell Software.
Has many DBA functions built in, script editor, and so much more.
