Hello: I'm quite new to WCF services but have written many Web Services. I have a windows app that scans documents and then shares them via a web service. Well I wanted to upgrade to the newer frameworks and now I have a problem transferring the data
to the server.
I have a WCF web service sitting on the server (hosted by IIS 7 but I have a test machine running Server 2003 and IIS 6) and the windows app scans the document in. When the user presses a button I pass an array of byte to the WCF server. Now when I had
this as a web service everything worked just fine reliably for years. Now with WCF it first kept giving back an error 400 but I made some changes now its giving me an error 413. I have made changes in the bindings to increase the limits but its still not
working. I also have no idea what the binding section should do and even if its remotely right:
<binding name="basicHttpBinding" maxReceivedMessageSize="2147483647" maxBufferPoolSize="2147483647">
<readerQuotas maxDepth="2147483647" maxStringContentLength="2147483647" maxArrayLength="2147483647" maxBytesPerRead="2147483647" maxNameTableCharCount="2147483647"/>
<endpoint address="http://localhost/DMService/Docman.svc" binding="basicHttpBinding" contract="DocmanSvc.Docman" bindingConfiguration="basicHttpBinding" />
<!-- To avoid disclosing metadata information, set the values below to false before deployment -->
<!-- To receive exception details in faults for debugging purposes, set the value below to true. Set to false before deployment to avoid disclosing exception information -->
<serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true" multipleSiteBindingsEnabled="true"/>
I could use a little help..... Thanks

Welcome to asp.net forum.

As for the 413 error, I suggest you could try to reset the UploadReadAheadSize value in host config file.
