I am using WCF Restful Service,(accepts payload as XML).
Pay load contains few child nodes like id , description, date etc
When i try to consume/invoke my service from client(another) machine, its throwing as "Bad Request". I am using soap ui to test or to invoke the service.
Later I have investigated the problem as one of the node description contains the data more than 8191 characters then its throwing this "Bad Request"
I have increased the maxstring size and etc in web.config upto 4MB.
Even though it is throwing "Bad Request".
Can anyone provide the solution/suggestion.
Thanks in advance.

There can be many reasons for the "Bad Request" error. Without your source code and details about the service it is impossible to provide any assistance.

Thanks mgebhard for u reply.
There is no problem in my source code. If I give limited data in pay load. Then the request is successful.
If the payload in any field/node exceeds size of 8191 characters then its throwing bad request.
My question is that, is i need to add any configuration ?

I don't recall ever seeing a "Bad Request" error due to message length greater than 8191. I believe the default is message limit is 65536. Anyway, the request limit is configurable in the web.config.
Again, it's polite if you post the problematic code when asking for help. Otherwise we're guessing at a solution which ends up wasting everyone's time.
