What does this mean?
usually there is a link so that one can review her/his un-marked post in order to determine (a) what post was unmarked and (b) who un-marked that post.
Knowing (a) is the most important because it potentially enables the poster to get an understanding about
why the post was un-marked.
Knowing (b) is for me equally important because it reveals whether to O.P. or someone else chose to un-marked the post.
"Private" simply creates a mystery and imho is unfair to the person whose post/reply was un-marked.
Please explain. Thank you.

Thank for raising this issue, I have the same question to the forum moderators.

That means that a thread where you provided the answer was deleted; there wasn't anything wrong with your reply, but with the original post (likely it was not ASP.NET-related or it was a duplicate).

Terri, given that the link is no longer available, then more appropriate imho than "Private" would be a more meaningful text message such as
Thread "<subject of deleted thread>" deleted.

Technically it actually means "This thread has been moved to a forum to which you do not have access." We can consider going through the extra gyrations to use the suggested verbiage when appropriate. I've now added this to the backlog.
