i am using oracle data access in my web application.
i have a stored procedure that returns list of data containing date.
the query is running successfully from oracle, but from the application i am getting not a valid month.

Do you return dates or strings from Oracle? Try to always direcly expose what happens (for example which error message you have and on how which line of code it happens) rather than a description from which we still have to guess the exact behavior you see.
Or is this just that you see something such as 01/02/2015 when you would expect 02/01/2015 ?

If you can provide some of your code, it might be easier for us to guide you and help you get what you need without just giving you a completely unexplained answer that in the long run wouldn't help much.
Besides, I suggest you could also try to use DateTime.ToString("MMMM dd, yyyy") to create custom Date and Time Format string.

1. inccorrect month, day, year formatting
2. the data does actually have invalid month like month = '13'
