We've been having issues with site stability during the times which our backups have been running. (refer also
this thread) We believe we have now isolated and mitigated the underlying problem. The site experience in the site overnight (US) hours should be improved moving forward.

I experience this regularly (but not consistently)when going directly to http://forums.asp.net/f/mythreads/0/1/20 from outside of the site. It's one of my browser bookmarks. I wonder if there is a bug
somewhere in the authentication code.
Thanks, Rajneesh. It looks like there are still bandwidth issues during the second part of the backup process. We are working out a solution for this.

That's one of the more expensive queries on the website, especially for the members with a lot of activity (like you). There's not an authentication issue, but I believe we could do some more optimizations with that.
This issue happens some time not always, keep watching and if you face any issue log here with time stamp and locale. which will help to track the issue.

Any progress on this? I got the maintenance message every time I tried to access My Threads via the link above this morning, and could only actually get to see any of my threads if I clicked the My Threads link while in a forum - i.e. a filtered view.
We've actually made a lot of progress on this in general. What we need to do now specifically is optimized the "my threads" when it looks across all forums. For most members this works well, but for the few have participated in thousands of threads, such
as yourself, the query is pretty demanding and does time out when running during peak load times.
I wonder if there's not a way to add a date/year based filter so that by default you only get say the last 365 days of threads you've participated in?
I have pulled up threads of mine that are older than that (and would still want to be able to), but that's generally not what i'm looking for when i click the "my threads" link.
