I have database saved in my documents folder, how do I move them into sql server to be used by Visual studio 2010 server explorer?

As per this case, you can refer the following steps :
1. First Copy the .mdf & .ldf file(optional) from your corresponding document folder
2. then paste that .mdf and .ldf file in the corresponding Sqlserver file path like "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA"
3.Then Goto Sqlserver Management Studio (SSMS) >>Object Explorer >> Right-click on “Databases” >> click the “Attach”
4. In the Attach Databases dialog box >>Click “Add” >>Locate Database Files From "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA"
5. Click "OK".
or You can Attach that mdf file to sqlserver database using query window by scripts ,Click
