I have created an application in VS 2010 asp.net in which I have used Report Viewer not crystal report. In that application we have 6000+ data in database.
Everything is working fine with Report generation from database
The problem is that it is taking so much time while exporting data from report to excel or any format.
So is it the size of data is responsible for this long time?
Please tell me how can I increase the speed of exporting large amount of data from report.

As per my research of this issue, the following alternative way to export report into excel or pdf :
1. Disable export to XLS
2. Add your own export button
3. Use the ReportViewer Control or ReportingServices Web Service to capture the stream
4. Compress the stream using your favorite .NET compression library
5. Send the stream back to the client as a Zip file(or whatever format you choose)

Thank you,for your reply.
But I didn't understood your solution. How can I compress content while rendering from report to stream because to capture the stream we use rendering and the rendering itself takes time to fetch stream so if we are compressing stream later on then their
is no use of it.
If you know some example ,can you plzzzz let me know.
And I want this to work with Reportviewer control not ReportingServices.
Please reply ASAP.
