Can anyone tell me how to prevent an SQL insertion virus? I built a .net 4.5 system using C#. I use SqlDataSources for ALL dealings with the SQL database. I have 3 fields in a table that have to be large because of the data required. Data is input via
an asp textbox. I've tried checking whether the input data contains the start or stop characters that indicate an insertion virus in the "updating" event but that hasn't prevented it. I wrote a clean-up program that I run whenever somebody alerts me. I
Googled how to prevent this from happening but can't find anything except proprietary software. Does anyone have a solution you're willing to share? Thanks.
