An application on our intranet has an open tcp port. You can send requests to this port and the application returns a list of options. This list of options goes into a select box on our webbased interface from which the user can choose.
If it was my application I would implement SignalR in the application and in the web interface to keep the selected option consistent. But since it is third-party that is not possible.
My question is this: Is there an established way to integrate the application's open tcp port into SignalR?

For architecture like this(three-levels), this does not seem to a scenarios which should go to SignalR. Besides, in your questions, it seems the SignalR application is working as the client role for the third-party application. For the persistent connection
to be established using SignalR, it requires that the server side is using the SignalR, i.e. the third-party application.
