I am importing data to an sql server 2012 database table using an excel sheet. The problem is that under "Select Source Tables and View", I do select the correct source (excel sheet) and destination (sql table) tables. But when I click on
"Edit Mapping", the source columns are not available and display F1, F2, F3 instead. The excel column names are exactly the same as the one in sql table. I think the issue is with excel. Any help is appreciated

There are no spaces in the column name. Do I need to defined a named range (matching sql table) in the excel sheet?

According to your description, if the column name display F1,F2,F3, it's because you didn't select the
First row has column
names option in your Excel connection manager.
