I am making a ssrs report having three dropdownlist depending on one another in the hierarchical order selection from first dropdownlist will fill the data in second dropdownlist,the issue i am facing is that if there is no data available in the second dropdownlist
from the option selected in the first dropdownlist then the ssrs page dropdonlist is empty what i want to do is to generate a message or an popup informing the same,can we do that in ssrs reports,showing a custom message,thanks

You have to handle it at SQL Level.
Select ID,Value From Table where Filter = somevalue)
Select ID,Value From Table where Filter = somevalue
Select 0 as ID,'Your Msg' FINDING_RSAM_ID
The above query will give you the data if its exist or else it will return your message.

that is my question that how can i display that message in an alert in ssrs?

As per my knowledge, its not possible to generate a popup window from SSRS. All we can do is to show message either in a text box or in dropdown as I explained earlier.
