I want to use SQL server 2014 database in the remote server, first I managed to add the server "ABCD" in the visual studio 2013,
If I Choose "Use SQL Server Authentication", and input the User name:“bcds” , and the password:"1234", it throws the error message, "Login failed for user 'bcds'. Reason: The password of the account must be changed."
Why this happens? Whether I need configure the remote server first before I use the SQL Server database.
Thanks for your help.

Sounds like the Enforce Password Policy, Enforce Password Expiration and User Must change password at next login options has been set for the user account. Go into SQL Server Management Studio and change the options for the login. Or create a new user and
uncheck those options.

I'm contacting the remote server administrator, I will try it again.
[update]This issue is solved now.
