I've created a basic WCF service which I would like to call from a Powershell script. I want to ensure that it is my Powershell script calling the service, and nothing else. I've googled many articles on this, and I still don't know what the best approach
The web service is hosted on a remote/external server.

secure the WCF Service with username and password and use the same in powershell to authenticate:

Thanks for the suggestions. I implemented Ashim's suggestion. The trouble is I'm consuming the service from Powershell and I don.t think Powershell supports Message security. If I set the security mode to None it works fine. Hmm.
