We have developed a website which is deployed in Azure cloud environment(Azure Website). Now we need to authenticate users using on-premises LDAP. We don't want to use ADFS or Azure Active directory Sync. Is this possible?. If so, what are the security settings
required to be done on LDAP server?. If not possible, what are the best options I have.

By default, the Azure Multi-Factor Authentication Server is configured to import or synchronize users from Active Directory. However, it can be configured to bind to different LDAP directories, such as an ADAM directory, or specific Active Directory domain
For more information about LDAP authentication for Azure Website, please refer to the link below:
Hope it's useful for you.

Thanks for the reply and this option will not work for us. We don't want to sync the on-premises AD with Azure AD. The provider has opened up a LDAP connection for our website (website IP address). How do we configure the endpoints for LDAP ports 386 and
636 for an azure website. (Not Azure VM) or is it opened by default?. What are the other options I have without using sync.
