One thing lead to another my entire project leads me to the custom error page - Uh-oh, something went wrong! Error Code: 500
I do not see an issue with my codes and i have no idea how to solve this. I am testing the web application on my local computer only.
can anyone guide me through?

Error 500 means that something is wrong with your web server request. Either your web server is not returning proper response or not. If you have customer error handling then for a time remove it and see what is the issue.
You can find more information about that here.

Try change web config

As others have told, there are various reasons on getting the error. Especially, the errors (exceptions) occured "at the server" will be get converted to HTTP status code 500.
If the CustomErrors are set On in application's web.config file, it will hide the actual error message and will display the yellow page or custom page (based on settings in web.config file).
So, to be able to view what is the exact error, you could modify your web.config file to turn OFF the custom errors.
There would be already system.web section and customErrors mode in the web.config file, most probably. So change the value of mode to Off.
If the section doesn't exist, add it manually.
Once you switch off custom errors, you can observe the actual error when you browse the page anywhere (both in local server machine and even if we browse site from out side also).
If you set the mode to RemoteOnly, then, you can see the actual error when you browse the page on "local server machine".h
Following is the path for this configuration setting.
