Two months ago I bought a beginning asp.net textbook and started learning about Visual Studio and ASP.net, which I am now absolutely in love with. I sucked down the textbook and started working on building a browser based game. Thousands of lines of C# later,
a have an alpha version that seems stable, reliable, and fast, and I'm ready to have some friends help me test it out. Unfortunately, my text book didn't cover deployment, and my Google skills that helped me get through initial development are not seeming
to help me find the information I'm looking for. I picked up C# quickly, but I am extremely inexperienced with regards to all of this. My game was created as an ASP.net website (not a web application, I'm not sure what the difference is) using C# and Visual
Studio 2013, using the 4.5 framework, and the database was made with SQl Server Management Studio 2014.
I tried downloading Ngrok and set up a tunnel from my development computer, but IIS express seems to get upset when there is more than one person playing at a time. I have absolutely no idea where to start with deployment. I think I can afford a cheap server,
but don't know anything about server types. Again, I'm very new to ASP and have never deployed a website before.
So, I turn to you fine people. Can you recommend anything for me to read? Do you have a recommendation for a server? What should I expect to pay? I registered for Amazon Web Services and downloaded their visual studio integration tool for elastic beanstalk,
but I'm hitting a dead end trying to get the SQL database up there. I would prefer a server that can scale based on traffic (which I think AWS does) so that I can use the same server for testing and production. I doubt I'll have much traffic to the game, but
I like to be prepared!
Thank you all for reading and for your advice!

For ASP.NET hosting, I would recommend you to use
asphostportal.com. I have good experience with them.
