Has anyone ever tried to host a signalr hub behind an API management platform? I am working on porting some azure API's onto the Azure API management platform. It does not appear that there is any websocket support out of the box, but I was hoping that
signalr had an approach for it anyways.
I can get the connect working, as connections are established over http - so i can enter all the signalr calls (connect, abort, etc) into the api manager and they do proxy properly. wss:// however is not supported on azure api management of course.
What I am hoping is that there is a way to configure the signalr JS library to use one url path for connection lifetime events (through the api management tool), and then configure it to have a second url to go directly to the server for other protocols

As far as i know,You can not use WebSocket in API Management Tool and you can not configure the url for websockets in API Management .
I suggest that you can post your question to azure forum, see if it there is way to solve your problem:
