For some reason, if BOTH digest and windows authentication are enabled on a website, when a web app makes a call to a WCF service, it will work in Chrome, but not in IE.
When I disable digest authentication, IE starts working with the WCF call.
Can anyone explain this?

I'd have to create a test harness to be sure but it seems kinda strange to have digest and windows authentication turned on at the same time. Both are challenge response authentication schemes and I believe, given the choice, IE will default to Windows
WCF can handle multiple connection types, so how do you have the web application configured to select digest or windows auth. At some point the web app needs to communicate over the proper channel and supply the proper auth context to the WCF service. How
is this done?
