Hi folks, using WebForms, apparently as soon as you add an AJAX panel where there is a file upload control it breaks. By moving the Submit button outside of the panel and setting it as a Trigger the upload works again but the UpdateProgress panel does not
work presumably because the page is posting back!
The point of adding the progress was that the upload may take a while, so is there a simple solution for this or do I need to rewrite it for the AsyncFileUpload control in the toolbox?

Fileupload control is not compatible with updatepanel. As you discovered you'd have to set the button as a postbacktrigger. Our you use asyncfileupload or Ajaxfileupload.

Thanks for that, the documentation links for the AsyncFileUpload are broken on the Ajax site (and the original site), so is there some sort of reference elsewhere? I have found one half-decent example but it does the radical thing of setting all child controls
as triggers to get the FileUpload to work, which is probably undesirable. Wanted to have a proper look at the documentation but cannot find any!
Where is the AjaxFileUpload?
