To all, thanks!
I'm new to ASP.NET, just started uysing VSE2010 a month ago, after MS Expression seemed to give so much trouble. I have site built on FrontPage (I miss the good ole days) and it has several pages built on the standard Frontpage security, a simple script
allowing access for a single person.
Now VSE uses an ASPX user login. So I click Administer Website, it opens the ASP.NET Web Site Admin Tool, but can't connect to the SQL server. The page looks like its a local server page. My database is on the web, hosted by GoDaddy (I know, I know). Is
this the issue? Will this security and admin tool be able to connect to my SQL on the internet?
Second, I tried to revert back to security via FrontPage. I posted the following into the page:
<! --#include "login.asa" -->
< If Session(SiteId) <> true Then
But the page goes to the login_validate.asp page and then returns back to the login.asp page with fields blank. If I change the requester to another page, it goes to that page and worrks fine. But going to an ASPX page seems to place it in a loop and that
brings me back to the login page.
So the question is, which is easier to fix and the accompanying solution for eith the ASPX web Site Admin tool failure to connect to the MS SQL database or somehow fix the Frontpage login...or a new solution altogether that maybe uses my Access database.
thanks in advance

Could you please kindly advise the error message that you see? It seems that you better contact your hosting provider.
