We are running a Windows Server 2012 with an Active Directory. Currently this AD supports LDAP only with cleartext on port 389. I need to enable it for SSL on port 636. I found the page
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd941846%28v=ws.10%29.aspx describing how to import a server certificate. According to this document it is enough to do this import
to get the AD listening on an SSL port. I tried but it didn't work. The import of the certificate(self signed certificate) was accepted but ther came not port 636 up.
Can anyone give a hint, what might be wrong?
