  Middleware development using C#

  Hi, I am a newbie in middleware development. I often heard about it but don't really know what it is and how it s created.

  Would appreciate if you can provide some guidance or references on how to create one.

  1. What is the development platform to use.  VS2010 ?

  2. How to deploy it or how to integrate it into other system

  This is what I wanted to do to get started, just name a few below:

  -All client apps will connect direct to a middleware which will handle authentication to access SQLServer

  - Middleware will handle client's access, device management and others
