I want to make my web app more secure so I chose md5 in order to encrypt my passwords.I'm trying to understand how exactly it works . So , correct if I'm wring, when someone enters his password , its encrypted and put in the database, and when he tries to
connect with that password I should encrypt the password entered and verify with those in the db ? Is that right ? so the decryption is what for ?
If any one has a good link about how to do that in c# , it will be great !

Password protection is built into ASP.NET. I'd suggest using theirs and not building your own:
