I have a MVC application which uses SignalR to PUSH the notifications to client. I also have Windows Workflow service which performs certain activities in sequence. Both are two different VS applications, however WF service is hosted in IIS as child virtual
directory of MVC application.
Is there any way to invoke or notify SignalR ( which is in MVC app) from WF service? I want to notify user when certian activity is completed in WF; and i thought of doing it by notifying SignalR which in turn send notification to Client.
(onw way i can do is by PULLING database at cerian time interval from MVC app or by using SQL dependency but i cannot use both the options for certian reasons)

You can get access to SignalR hubs through the GlobalHost http://www.asp.net/signalr/overview/signalr-20/hubs-api/hubs-api-guide-server#callfromoutsidehub
Though, I don't think this would work for WF since it is a different application altogether. Can you send a web request from the WF service?
