I am quite new to ASP, and i'm implementing a shopping basket using data from an access database.
I use a repeater, and accessdatasource which extracts and displays the data, and i'm just wondering which is the best way to go to transfer the information when a user clicks on the 'purchase' button.
I've seen various methods, such as classes and sessions, but would like to know which would be easier as i'm using Access.
Any advice/ resources would be welcome,

When the user seelcts items (and their quantity) they will post a form back. At that point, you can create a new Cart in the database and get its id using @@Identity (http://www.mikesdotnetting.com/Article/54/Getting-the-identity-of-the-most-recently-added-record)
and add order items to it. Store the CartId in a Hidden Field and retrieve it when the user clicks Checkout (or Purchase).
