So I'm working on creating a fairly large and complex desktop app with MVC 5.1. My end goal is to have native (iPhone, Android, and Windows) apps as well accessing via the web api. The desktop Razor pages are responsive, but I want to detect particular smart
phones (iPhone & Android) and redirect them to a single page app that also uses the web api where all other phones will just default to the responsive default site. But I've tried searching Google, Stackoverflow and here... can't really find a great suggestion
on how to do this. Seems like the display mode feature from MVC 4 was depricated when MVC 5 launched.
Would I built the SPA in a separate area and redirect to that? Like www.mysite.com/mobile/ or m.mysite.com?
What's the best way to detect specific models of phones? I was reading about WURFL, is this the best approach?
God this question sounds like such a newbie thing, I swear I'm not an idiot.
