Is it possible to delete the publish settings for a site?

If you're using VS2013, go to Build=>Publish Web Site. Under the Profile tab there's a "Manage Profiles..." button. Click the profile you want to delete and click "Remove".
I can't help you with other development environments, but I'm sure someone will be along who can.

Upto my current WebMatrix version, you're not allowed to remove the site publish settings from the System. You can only add the settings.

You do not have to delete that, but you can change it.
Click Remote tab, and Settings. At the left top corner you will see New Profile, click that and continue working.
Mark as answer if it helped..

I found the publish settings at the following location: C:\Users\UserName\Documents\IISExpress\config\PublishUI\ProjectName
I deleted the files for the project I was working on and it worked.
I knew the publish settings must be stored somewhere on the system.
By the way, I found the answer on Stackoverflow at
Thanks for your help.
