I am using the Unit Of Work and Repository pattern to access data in a SQL Server database. Now I need to support an Oracle database as well. How do I achieve database independence using the Unit of Work and Repository, should both (Unit Of Work and Repositories)
be database dependent?

See this sample : http://blog.gauffin.org/2014/01/unit-of-work-sample-implementation-for-ado-net/
You merely add a OracleUnitOfWork and you can switch between 2 dbases. Or add an MySqlUnitOfWork...

You can connect NHibernate to Oracle.
Being said that, this is mostly suited in oracle forums than in asp.net forums.
