I have an asp.net 2.0 website running on IIS 6 that is configured to use Windows authentication throughout the site. However, I now have the need to make a single aspx page in a single folder accessible without users having to log in. This is what I have
This is in addition to the authentication set up:
<authentication mode="Windows" />
And the general authorization for the rest of the site:
<allow roles="SiteRole1,SiteRole2" />
<deny users="*" />
But when I browse to the site It still opens the login popup. I'm at my wits end in trying to make this page load without any authentication. What am I missing here?
Any help would be much appreciated.

The problem was apparently in the Global.asax, it looks like a change has fixed the problem.

What do you mean "The problem was apparently in the Global.asax"?
