I have noticed that .gitignore is ignored by the built-in Git provider of VS 2013, but not by msysGit or Posh Git. So when a DLL is added to the Bin/ directory the line in .gitignore [bB]in/ is ignored when I look to changes in Team Explorer but if I open
a command prompt and type 'git status' everything is normal. Also, if I commit changes the incorrect files are added besides legitimatly desired changes as opposed to just being incorrectly displayed. Is there some way to get VS to work like every other interface
of Git? Is there some way to activate the .gitignore file or some other file? What is the source of this apparent bug?
