If you deploy your asp.net application to IIS, it's recommended to check the log file in IIS, and check whether it can give some hints why this happens.
we can enable this Failed Request Tracing in the IIS by steps below,
You can check log files in C:\inetpub\logs\FailedReqLogFiles.

I have not been using IIS, I have not even installed it on my machine. My ASP.net website was using the inbuilt web application development server.
The issue started after ma machine got the Microsoft updates of February 12, 2014. As testing I installed a laptop that has not gotten any Microsoft update, installed Visual Studio 2008 on it, copied the folder containing the site folder unto the new machine
and it works as expected.
So I am thinking of upgrading Crystal report to the newest version and see if it could solve the problème.
Have a nice day.
