I am trying to get an MVC 5 application working in IIS 8 and am getting the 403.14 error. If I put a basic html or aspx file it displays correctly but when I put the other code in it fails. If I enable directory browsing I do see the contents of the directory
so I am thinking it has something to do with IIS not handling the MVC routing.
Is there something I need to do to get this working correctly? I have un-installed .net 4.5 a few times and even tried creating a new VM with a fresh install and am getting the same results. This is my first time trying to get an MVC app running so be
easy on me.

What is the extension of your MVC application?
For cshtml & vbhtml file, you may need to add configuration in web.config
<add key="webpages:Enabled" value="true" />

webpages:Enabled was set to false but setting it to true didn't change anything.
