My current asp.net webforms app has a page that uses a datagrid to do the following:
- List a dynamic list of products. One row per product
- List options for each product in the columns.
- Options may apply to multiple products but often have different values avaialable for each product.
- These options are shown/hidden and dynamic values are loaded in the item_databound event.
I use this to record a users choices in a database and later redisplay them. I also pass this datagrid to other functions where it gets looped through and documents/receipts get dynamically generated based on the state of the controls in the datagrid. This
approach works fine for now but seems kind of clunky and is hard to maintain when new products and options get added. I'd like to know if there are any other ideas/approaches for this that forum members would suggest.

Here's a screen shot to help explain what I'm working with now....
Any thoughts on a new approach???

Based on your description, my understanding is that you don't want to display the new products or options immediately.
If so, I suggest you save the new products or options value to ViewState or Session, and add a save button, when user click the save button, the new products or options will insert into database.
Hope it helps.
