Hi, wouldn't it be better iif everyone other than moderators too would edit the posts from users?
So that each post is editted to be made close enough; better in language usage, so it will be easy to understand what the user wants to ask and what others have replied.

That would require a lot of extra moderation and monitoring - as well as some versioning mechanism to protect against spammers and vandals abusing the ability to edit other people's posts and posting their commercial messages or worse.

I don't think allowing anybody to edit everybody else posts would be a good idea. As a general rule, Moderators do not edit the content of a users posts other than an occasional html fix to correct for a site formatting issue.

If you do not know from the original content provided by the OP what they are asking, then allowing anybody to edit that post would in effect allow anybody to materially change their question based on what they "think" the OP meant.
Generally, when a question lacks the necessary clarity or details needed to provide a complete answer, the thread discussion will include questions from the community that help the OP to add the missing info to their thread.

You both are right! :) That would lead to a free advertisement service too hehe. I missed that part.
