I am having trouble finding out why the ValidatorCallOutExtender is not in my toolbox. I am using Visual Studio 2012. I installed the Ajax Control Toolkit (version 7.1005) through Nuget.
I have other Ajax controls in the toolbox, but I cannot find this one, nor can I find any reason as to why this is not showing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to check the web.config file there should be handler for ajax.and make sure the version AjaxControlToolkit.dll is same as that at your localhost.
Please refer to the link below:
Installing AJAX Control Toolkit 4 in Visual Studio 2010
Hope it helps you.

This kind of issue is not related with the Toolbox, please make sure that AjaxControlToolkit.dll's edition is the right version. As we know, Ajax Control Toolkit is devided into two editions. One for .NET Framework, another for .NET Framework 3.5.
