1)We are using windwos authnetication and authorization is set to specific users. Now, we get login popup everytime we open website.
2)If we use windwos authnetication and authorization is set to * then there is no popup (anonymous authentication is enabled)
3)if we enable anonymous to appoolidentity, and set authentication mode to windows, then it takes user to a login form. on this form we can do windows authentication?

Yes when authorization is enabled for certain users you get windows login prompt for users who do not have access to the resource. Read more below
