Some months ago wrote a web app that requires user registration. I'm using the defeult membership code that came with the template. Everything worked ok back then. However this time when trying to register a new user get this error:
What could have changed that broke the functionality? I'm using my Gmail account. Have searched in the Web for a solution but every suggestion is already implemented without results.
WebMail.SmtpServer = "smtp.gmail.com";
WebMail.SmtpPort = 587;
WebMail.EnableSsl = true;
WebMail.UserName = "firstname.lastname@example.org";
WebMail.Password = "password";
WebMail.From = "email@example.com";
Your help will be appreciated.

Generally this error come when SSL not enable true or your username ,password not correct.
As i am seeing code you have enabled the SSL by making SSL = true;
So it may be possible your username & password not matching.
Could you please look into it.

This App was working correctly. Suddendly email client, Gmail, bagan rejecting connection. It was just a security issue, gmail blocking access to the App. All it takes is going here https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha and
allow your gmail account to grant access to tha App.
Thanks to everyone who offered help.
