I have updated a file in Visual Studio 2012 that I need to upload to the web server to replace the current file. I only need to copy this one file, not publish the entire .net project.
The file is in the Solution Explorer. How do I do that? I am new to Visual Studio.

If it's an ASPX, CSS, XML, Image or JS file, simply copy and replace it with the file in the server.
If it involves code behind updates, then you better publish your project to a local file location first and then replace the DLLs in the bin folder of the server.
