I'm now developing asp.net web pages on my pc with Visual Studio Express for Web 2012. I would like to deploy the web site to a Windows 2003 R2 Server SP2 Standard. I believe the IIS Manager is ver 6.0 and ASP.NET ver 2.0 and it's running fine.
May I know what is required to be upgraded or installed in order to make my web site work after the deployment ?
From my knowledge each Windows version comes with an included IIS version which you're generally stuck with (possible updates may come down from Windows Update, but I wouldn't expect any in general).
it may also depend on which Framework you with VS 2012 to develop your application
as per my experience is you are still using 2.0, or 2.5 .Net framework then it may easier to update the Windows 2003 R2 .. you may require to update the IIS6 update patch
if your are using above then
may be you have to udate th e SP for windows 2003 r2 as well and IIS as well

As for which versions of IIS for which Windows version, see:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Information_Services#Versions
