See : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb628649.aspx
The WSDL is already an XML document which is a detailed description of the web service. When you'll use the procedure above, Visual Studio will use this description to create a client side "proxy" class. You'll just call into the methods made available by
this class and the class takes care of calling the corresponding web service method for you and to transmit back its result (it does th"e "plumbing" and you don't have to do anything with the WSDL yourself)...

I understand both are xml but it is not POX i mean plain old xml which i can consume using ipad where i don't have option of creating proxy/stub.Correct me if i am wrong.but i am sure i am right.

makes sense and we have different flavors in webservices also :) like POX and soap we have.Fact is that you need to create your own template to convert it to xml .there is nothing available on web.

Is this a third party service or do you have control on this service ? If this is a browser app and your own service, rather than using a SOAP service, you'll want something like
http://www.asp.net/web-api as you can consume this with simple HTTP requests without having to parse more or less complex XML payloads...
If you are forced to use a SOAP service :
- if you want to consume this service from a native app, try rather an iOS dev forum. You may have some tools to do this etc...
- if you want to consume this service from a browser, you could try tools such as :
