See some posts about disconnect happening at times other than when the chat is over. Currently that is when we do some end of chat processing. Looks like that may not be the best time to do this.
So when is the best time to do some processing when the chat is all over. So either end of the chat has ended with an end chat function or either end has done something like close the browser with the chat going on.

You could use a Web Worker, it's new HTML 5 feature:

Guess I wasnt really clear. At what time on the server will we know that the Chat is complete not in some state of disconnecting and then reconnecting. From what I understand you may get a disconnect even when the chat is continuing and SignalR will then
try to reconnect. So we need a fool proof way of knowing that the Chat is over because of user ending the chat or closing the browser.
