I am having weird issues with button control recently..
I create a new button on my web page and it runs fine on localhost but it couldn't operate correctly on my client's server
All the old controls are fine but only the newly added ones are having the problem
The Error :
CS1061: 'ASP.tresourcesupload_aspx' does not contain a definition for 'btn_photoGallery_Click' and no extension method 'btn_photoGallery_Click' accepting a first argument of type 'ASP.tresourcesupload_aspx' could be found (are you missing a
using directive or an assembly reference?)
<asp:Button ID="btn_photoGallery" runat="server"
onclick="btn_photoGallery_Click" Text="Button" />
protected void btn_photoGallery_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
lbl_showMessage.Text = "Select Choose image to continue";
I tried re creating the button control, uploading the entire project files but the error keeps popping up

From the error it seems like your page is not compiled and the latest assemby generated is not having the method btn_photoGallery_Click and that is the reason for this error.
Can you try rebuilding the solution locally and see if you have any build errors. In case if you have build errors, latest assybmly with latest code might not have generated and hence this issue can happen.

I tried rebuilding the project and re-adding the dll(s) but still getting that error
I don't have any errors after rebuilding though

If it is a Website not a WebApplication then upload both files cs and aspx.
and if it is WebApplication than upload aspx file and project dll file
And additionaly you can reset IIS or just reset pool by editing web config file.

There might be some prolem while you copy the dlls from you local server to the client environment I guess. Can you compare the local and client site dll.?

Hi Nasser and romy
I look at the bin folder and noticed that my project name's dll has a time difference so i tried uploading it and it works
