i have web site which hosted in 3rd party web server and i have one win service which is running in my machine. now i want that our web site page should send some notification to our win service but there is no physical link between two machine.
say for example i have one page in our web site from where user can upload CV & other details. i want that the moment user CV & details will be saved by web site then web site will send a notification to our win service and then win service start fetching
i find out the way to do it with the help of signalr library. with the help of signalr library very easily we can send notification to web or win application but the problem is only text message can be exchange between web & win apps using signalr.
our company want to do it with the help of wcf and they think wcf is capable enough to send notification from web site to win service with data & file. with the help of wcf CV data & file can be push from web site to our win service which is running in different
one guy told me like this way
Firstly, please try to create your WCF service.
Secondly, call WCF service in the web application as the following steps:
1, Right click on your web application and select Add Service Reference.
2, In the opening wizard please try to give your WCF service link and click Go after add your service click OK button.
3, Open the web page and call the WCF service.
For the detailed information please try to refer to the following link:
# how to consume (or) use wcf service in web application
# How to: Host a WCF Service in a Managed Windows Service
the answer is incomplete. i want to design wcf service in same web site project.
1) so just guide me how my web page can consume wcf service and send notification to win service to different pc.
2) how wcf directly push data & file from my web site to win service.
please tell me what i need to do in detail. i have basic coding experience in wcf so tell me which binding i should go for?
the main area which is not at all clear how wcf can push data and file to win service. if possible discuss with sample code. thanks

First of all I'd like to challenge your design/architecture.
If you want to sent a message from A to B you need a connection between A & B (that is always up & running), and you need to be able to locate B at all times.
So in order to sent a message from a website to your WCF service (on your machine):
I doubt this is what you want to do (unless your machine is a server connected to the internet).
I'm not convinced you need SignalR. It can be done much easier.
