I have VS2012 from MSDN installed in my machine. We recently purchased licenses for VS2012. What is the easiest way to change the License key without uninstalling or going into the registry?

If that was a trial time version, wait until it will ask fo a key.
The official position of Microsoft is that the key for retail products cannot be changed (source:
MSDN forum, in german). And so, if you want to change the key, you need to uninstall product and install it again. You can try the solution explained here at
however, again this is something that I wouldn't do.

MSDN version is not a trial version and does not have an expiration date. Probably, uninstalling and reinstall is the best method. May be I should contact MS Support.

Sorry, didn't notice about MSDN.
Not sure if this will be faster, but you can try to run setup in a change mode. Go to control panel, add programs, vs.net - change. This will run setup again over existing setup. Don't know if it will ask for a key, but if I google I see same works when
you need to change MSDN key for Sql Server.
