I have implemented a ajaxmethod in asp.net application. It works fine on .Net framework 4.0.
Now i am trying to implement it in project running .Net framework 2.0. It is running fine on my local machine but not working on LIVE environment.
The file common.ashx and <pagename>.ashx showing message
HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Can anybody know, why it is showing this message instead of ajaxmethod names and xmlhttprequest calls.

From what I understand you want to implement it in project running .Net framework 2.0.you need to
Make sure you have following set up in your web.config file and ensure correct path.
If you still see the error then set the custom error mode off in the web.config so that you see the real error message and then you should be able to sort things out.
Aslo ,your machine is exactly identical to the server, Same OS, same accounts, same domain membership, etc.. If not, that identical settings would not work on non-indetical systems and you need check iis sever on LIVE environment.
